Stocking needles when acupuncture is one tool among many

If acupuncture is one modality in a broader practice, you do not need a warehouse of obscure SKUs. You need a short, reliable set of sterile needles that an assistant can restock after one walkthrough.

Keep the list short on purpose

Most practitioners who integrate needling rotate three or four diameters, not twelve. A clear range from 0.16 to 0.30 mm covers the diameters many clinics actually use. The inventory job is not to display every option ever made. It is to make the options you use unmistakable.

Teach the shelf, not a lecture

Colour-coded boxes with millimetres printed on them turn restocking into pattern recognition. A new hire does not need TCM school to put the right box back in the right place. They need labels that survive a busy afternoon.

Let technique own the tray

When diameters cost different amounts, stocking starts to follow the price list. When the economics stay flat, the short list in your cabinet can stay about feel and indication - which is what you wanted in the first place.

Hundred-count boxes fit multi-modality rooms well: enough continuity for a normal week, without locking cash in unused gauges.
